Holiday Apartment “Bijou Holzmätteli” on Lake Thun

Stroll along the Aare riverside promenade with breathtaking views of the Aare and the mountains.

A beautiful promenade runs along the Aare from the old town of Thun to Hünibach. The Aarequai and Brahmsquai are accessible to pedestrians and cyclists and offer magnificent views of the mountains of the Bernese Oberland. The promenade along the Aare is about 2 km long. Walk from Mühleplatz toward Oberherrenhaus and Thunerhof. A little further upstream lies the Brahmsquai. Rest on the lawn next to the fountain with the three Graces or discover the Brahms monument beneath a large sequoia tree. Continue walking to the Hünibach boat dock, where a solar boat shuttle operates on summer weekends between Schadau Park, the lakeside beach, and the Hofstetten boat dock.

Combine your walk along the Aarequai with a boat trip on Lake Thun and start your hike from the Hünibach boat dock. As you walk toward Mühleplatz, a beautiful view of Thun’s old town opens up — welcome to Hünibach. :)

• The apartment is accessible via outdoor stairs and an internal staircase.
• Air conditioning, a washing machine, and a dryer are not available. Fans are provided during warm weather.
• Unfortunately, luggage storage before check-in or after check-out is not possible.
• A respectful coexistence is important to us – please follow the house rules so that everyone can feel comfortable.
